    Description: Summer concert: Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle
    A summer delight, Petite Messe Solennelle is a perfect example of Rossini’s wit and musical ingenuity. A wide range of musical styles is demonstrated, but the music remains unmistakeably Rossini -  he brings a decidedly operatic twist to the sacred. Despite the name, it is neither petite nor solennelle!

    Conducted by the amazing Harry Bradford, the choir will be joined by four talented young soloists and accompanied on piano and harmonium. 

    As Grace Hope-Gill is unfortunately unable to perform, Daisy Livesey has kindly taken her place as soprano.

    We are pleased to be part of the Hitchin Festival once again.
