SUMMARY:Concert: Mendelssohn - a family affair
DESCRIPTION:Join the North Herts Guild of Singers as we explore all things 
 Mendelssohn. Felix’s music needs very little introduction - we present p
 ossibly his most famous choral work Hear My Prayer (and O for the Wings of
  a Dove) alongside a beautiful setting of the Ave Maria and a rousing sett
 ing of Laura Sion. His sister Fanny’s music is equally spectacular and i
 s gaining increasing popularity within the classical music sphere. We are 
 excited to perform her unjustly neglected cantata Hiob alongside a selecti
 on of her popular Gartenlieder.\n\nConducted by Harry Bradford and accompa
 nied by Colin Spinks\, alongside four talented young soloists\, it promise
 s to be a fascinating evening. Please note that tenor soloist Matthew Soti
 llo-Cooke is unable to take part and will be replaced by Benedict Munden.\
