THE GUILD was formed in 1968 by John Railton, and has grown to a mixed choir of more than 100 singers.

New members are always welcome. The excellent professional musicians who direct and accompany our singing bring to every rehearsal a great sense of enjoyment of music. We are a very sociable and friendly society.

We do not hold auditions; but prefer to have a short period when we can each see if we are suited. The current annual subscription is £40 per term or £120 for the whole year (Students only pay a nominal fee). Come to a Thursday night rehearsal; you can talk to us and join in.

The North Herts Guild of Singers is a Registered Charity. It is affiliated to Making Music which represents and supports amateur choirs, orchestras and music promotors throughout the United Kingdom. The Guild also acknowledges the support given by the Arts Council for North Hertfordshire, and the Eastern Arts Board.
