Resources

This page provides links to various resources that you may find useful:

Benslow Music Trust offers a wide range of residential and day courses for amateur musicians, details of which can be found on their website.

Teoria.com provides free music theory and ear training exercises.

Musicroom and Amazon are sources for music if you would rather buy than hire. However be sure to buy the same edition as is being used by the rest of the choir. Check with the librarian, if in doubt.

Cyberbass offers non-downloadable midi files for your voice part and covers a very large number of choral works.

Choralwiki, the choral public domain library, is a huge resource for music in the public domain. Where available, you can freely download copies of the scores and midi files, make your own copies, and distribute them to others.

vanBasco’s Karaoke Player is the preferred playback software for midi files on your PC.  It is free and is one of the very few packages that allow you to change the tempo of the playback.  This package is not supported under Windows 7.
